PURPOSE:To obtain the printed glass of an excellent quality free from cracking and peeling of a printed layer by irradiating the printed surface with ultraviolet ray from one end thereof to harden gradually opening a shutter provided between the printed surface and an ultraviolet ray lamp when it is done so after the printing of a glass with an ultraviolet hardening type ink. CONSTITUTION:A screen printing is done on the back of a glass 1 with a black ultraviolet hardening type ink and the glass is set at distance of 40cm under an utraviolet ray lamp 3. In this stage, the printed surface 1a of the glass is entirely covered with a shutter 2. The shutter 2 is opened gradually at a speed of 2mm./sec to harden the printed surface 1a from the right end thereof. As the printed layer hardens, voluminal contraction takes place. But the unhardened printed layer on the left side is drawn thereby reducing stress generated between the printed layer 1a and the glass. After the shutter 2 is opened fully, the ultraviolet ray irradiates the entire surface of the printed surface for one min. The adhesion strength of the printed layer is so sufficient to eliminate cracking and peeling of the printed layer with passage of time thus providing a product of satisfactory quality as out-fitting parts. |
