PURPOSE:To prevent a malfunction of a D/A converter, by saturating an analog output signal after detecting that the digital input value exceeds a convertible range of the D/A converter. CONSTITUTION:When the digital quantity 1 exceeds the convertible value of a D/A converter 6, a D/A saturation command 7 is delivered from an upper bit monitor device 5 which monitors the upper side 3 of the quantity 1. Thus a data switching circuit 4 connects all bits applied to the converter 6 to the highest bit of the quantity 1. As a result, digital quantities 1, 1... or 0, 0... are applied to the converter 6 by the state of the highest bit of the quantity 1. Then the converter 6 delivers the value of +FULL or -FULL in the form of an analog quantity 8. |
