PURPOSE:To ensure smooth sliding of a suction piston, by eccentrically locating the center line of a flange in the suction piston longitudinally movably contained in a suction chamber relatively upward with respect to the center line of said chamber. CONSTITUTION:The captioned carburetor is provided with a suction piston 3', which opens and closes a Venturi part 11 in accordance with an intake air amount on the basis of opening of a throttle valve 9, and said piston 3' stops in a stationary state in a position where suction negative pressure generated in a negative pressure chamber 13 through a suction hole 12 and atmospheric pressure in an atmospheric pressure chamber 28 and tension of a damper spring 25 are balanced. Here a flange part 7' of said piston 3' is formed in such a manner that the center line X'-X' is located in a position eccentrically upward with respect to the center line X-X of a head 8' of the piston 3'. In this way, a leak control clearance 26 is formed to DELTAr' in the upper side while DELTAr (>DELTAr') in the bottom side with respect to an internal surface of a suction chamber 5, and sliding of the piston 3' is smoothed. |
