PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of smoke and malodor in case of the stoppage of combustion by sucking liquid fuel in a nozzle and a fuel piping to the nozzle when combustion is stopped and preventing the dropping of liquid fuel to a combustion chamber. CONSTITUTION:When a combustion stop signal is emitted, a closing valve 9 is opened, and a jet pump 7 is connected to a fuel tank 6 through a fuel suction pipe 8. On the other hand, a fuel pump 1 continues to be operated for an arbitrarily set time even after the combustion stop signal is emitted. Consequently, liquid fuel ejected to the jet pump 7 from an injection port 7a flows into the fuel tank 6 through a fuel suction pipe 8 from a discharge port 7c, generates negative pressure in the fuel piping 4 to the nozzle 2, and liquid fuel in the nozzle 2 and the fuel piping 4 to the nozzle 2 is sucked to the jet pump 7 from a suction port 7b to stop combustion, and returned to the fuel tank 6. Accordingly, the generation of smoke and malodor in case of the stopppage of combustion can be prevented, and abnormal combustion, such as the unexpected ignition, smoking, etc. of liquid fuel infiltrating into refractory materials, etc. can be obviated. |
