PURPOSE:To eliminate the transfer of a magnetic card and to facilitate the operation of a card owner, by performing automatically the reading, discharging and holding of the information of a magnetic card. CONSTITUTION:Reading machines 7 and 8 are installed at a self-service company dining hall to read the information stored to meal cards 12 and 13. These machines 7 and 8 are connected to a register 9 with cables 10. Card reader 27 are provided near slits 14 and 15 of the cards 12 and 13 of the machines 7 and 8 respectively to read the magnetic information of the cards 12 and 13. These cards discharged from the readers 27 are shifted to discharging slits 16 and 17 by means of belts 37 and 38 respectively. A position detector 48 is provided near the termination of the belt 38. The detecting signal supplied from the detector 48 and the reading information given from the reader 27 are fed to the register 9. Then the cards 12 and 13 are held temporarily by a holding pin 49, and a tray stage is driven to carry the meal. This simplifies the operation of a card owner. |
