PURPOSE:To increase the capacity of a silver oxide battery, and enhance the performance of the battery by mixing a positive mixture principally consisting of silver oxide with an alkali metal hydroxide which is used for electrolyte. CONSTITUTION:A positive mixture prepared by combining silver oxide with graphite powder or the like, is mixed with an alkali metal hydroxide the same as that contained in electrolyte, such as sodium hydroxide. Thus obtained mixture is pressed and molded so as to make a positive mixture. Next, the positive mixture is repressed and reformed in a positive can so as to assemble a silver oxide battery. By the means mentioned above, since the electrolyte sufficiently permeates the positive mixture pressed and formed enabling up to the innermost part of the positive mixture to be utilized, the capacity of the battery is increased, and the performance of the battery is further enhanced. |
