PURPOSE:To obtain an image superior in heat and light resistance, max. density, etc., by imagewise exposing a photosensitive material having a silver halide emulsion layer contg. a specified phenolic cyan coupler, and color developing and bleach fixing it. CONSTITUTION:A silver halide emulsion layer formed on a support contains a phenolic cyan coupler having at the 2-position a phenylureido group having at least one of -COOR', -COR', -SO2OR', formulae I and II, -NO2 and -CF3 (R is H alkyl, aryl, and R' is alkyl or aryl), at the 4-position, H or a group releasable upon coupling reaction with the oxidation product of a color developing agent, and at the 5-position an acylamino group. The obtd. photosensitive material is imagewise exposed, color developed, and bleach fixed to obtain a cyan dye image. As said cyan coupler, compounds of formulae III, IV are embodies. |
