The novel quinazolines correspond to the general formula below <IMAGE> in which the radical R represents a carboxyl, carboxamide, cyano or tetrazolyl radical. They are prepared by reaction of 5-isopropylanthranilic acid with 6-chloronicotinic acid. These novel quinazolines form the active constitutent of pharmaceutical compositions which can be administered orally.
