<p>An apparatus and a method for receiving digital broadcasting are provided to change a frequency band of a received digital broadcasting signal if a change of a broadcasting service is requested from a user, generate a list of broadcasting programs according to channels provided at the changed frequency band based on a pre-stored digital broadcasting program guiding data, and output a digital broadcasting signal received through a selected channel, thereby easily receiving wide area broadcasting and local area broadcasting and improving convenience of a user. A method for receiving digital broadcasting in a portable terminal comprises the following steps of: changing a frequency band of a received digital broadcasting signal if a change of a broadcasting service is requested from a user while the digital broadcasting signal, provided at one of a first and second frequency bands, is received and outputted(S110,S120,S130); generating and displaying a list of broadcasting programs according to channels provided at the changed frequency band based on a pre-stored digital broadcasting program guiding data(S140,S150); and outputting a digital broadcasting signal received through a selected channel if a predetermined channel is selected(S160,S170).</p> |
