PURPOSE:To simplify the constitution of a device and to record one frame of a picture signal excellently by using one head for recording one field of the picture signal, and recording respective frames on different recording loci by two heads when one frame of the picture signal is recorded. CONSTITUTION:The heads H1 and H2 are arranged on the same line at the head part 5 of a picture signal recording device and only the head H1 is used for recording one field of the picture signal. When one field of the picture signal is recorded, the 1st field of the frame is recorded by the head H1 and the 2nd field is recorded by the head H2 by forming concentric tracks tn and tn+1. The 1st and the 2nd fields are extracted by gate circuits 16 and 16' respectively and a desired field of the picture signal is supplied to the heads H1 and H2 through regenerated amplifiers 18 and 18' to record one frame excellently, simplifying the constitution of the recording device. |
