PURPOSE:The titled composition, containing a cationic surfactant, cationic cellulose or/and cationic polymer, ampholytic surfactant and high polymeric viscosity increasing agent as essential components, and having improved feeling of use, e.g. the viscoelasticity. CONSTITUTION:A hair conditioning composition, containing (A) one or more selected from a cationic surfactant, particularly a quaternary ammonium salt or quaternary pyridinium salt, cationic cellulose and cationic polymer, (B) an ampholytic surfactant and (C) a high polymeric viscosity increasing agent, particularly a cellulosic derivative, preferably hydroxyethyl cellulose, as essential components, having improved viscoelasticity, extensible and slimy feeling, and usable as hair rinse or hair treatment. The amounts of the above-mentioned components are preferably as follows; 0.3-5wt% cationic surfactant in the component (A) and components (B) and (C) respectively, and 0.3-3wt% other components in the component (A). |
