An LNG ship with a fire protection device installed in a turret and a method for extinguishing a fire by using the fire protection device are provided to promptly extinguish a fire by injecting a fire extinguishing liquid to a portion at which a fire is generated. An LNG ship includes a fire protection device. The first protection device is installed in a turret(3) provided in the LNG ship to connect a pipe of the LNG ship in which an oceanic LNG system is provided to a pipe on the ground. A fluid is injected to a portion for connecting the distal end of the pipe of the ship and the distal end of the pipe on the ground. The fire extinguishing device includes a fire extinguishing unit capable of extinguishing a fire by injecting a fire extinguishing liquid. A plurality of fire extinguishing units are provided and disposed in the turret by a predetermined interval. The first protection unit includes a plurality of injection units and includes a spray unit having a pipe supplying a fluid.
