In the case of a process for deep-drawing a plurality of container-shaped chambers from a preheated plastics sheet, this sheet is clamped along its edge by a clamping frame having transversely running bars which partition off zones in the sheet corresponding approximately to the base area of the chambers to the upper edge of a blowing box. Once it has been heated to the deep-drawing temperature, the sheet is inflated in a form of a plurality of balloons, partitioned off by the bars, over the mould which is moved out at approximately the same time and, once it has been moved out completely, is sucked out of its position stretched over slightly above the cavities of the mould against the surface of the mould and is cooled. In order also to be able to draw out of a sheet chambers of greatly differing volume and, as a result, greatly differing stretch ratio, the sheet is heated more intensely in the region of the edge of the mould cavity of smaller base area. After partially moving the mould in, additional blowing air is blown into the space between the region of the surface of this cavity and of the smaller balloon billowing out above it, in order to push ahead the middle region of this balloon. |
