The invention relates to a transfer belt system for transport of excavated materials, which system is capable of bending itself and following the curve of the transport path. The transfer belt system has a roller displacement device, which is assigned to the rollers supporting a conveyor belt and which has the effect that the rollers to be displaced corresponding to the belt curvature can be displaced not only in the longitudinal direction and in the lateral direction but also in the torsional direction of the conveyor belt. The system can also have a conveyor belt correction device in order to return the conveyor belt automatically to its normal position where it is deflected on account of the curvature of the transport path. <IMAGE>
