<p>The sunshine roof for a vehicle comprises a flexible panel (6) secured along its front edge to a rigid cross-member (8). A transverse bar (14), which can move both backwards and forwards, is connected to the cross-member (8) by cables (24,27). The bar (14) extends into a longitudinal arm (15) at each end carrying front (19) and rear (20) pulleys positioned either side of the cross-member (8). The cables (24,27) are secured at opposite ends to the cross-member (8) and points on the vehicle bodywork (25,28) and on opening pass over the pulleys (19,20) as the cross-member (8) moves backwards.</p> |
