The device for drawing tubes (11) which have an inward-oriented drawing crown (12) at their front end in the drawing direction consists of a drawing die (14), a nail-like drawing-out device (15) engaging in the tube (10, 11) to be drawn, a drawing carriage (18) and a floating plug (20) interacting with the drawing die (14). The drawing-out device (15) has a head (16) which rests against the drawing crown (12) and a shank (17) which projects out of the drawing crown (12) and can be connected to the drawing carriage (18). Secured on the head (16) of the drawing-out device (15), coaxially and in the opposite direction to the shank (17), is a long guide rod (22) which passes through a bore (21) of the floating plug (20) and through a retention tube (23) fixed to the floating plug (20). The drawing-out device (15) can be guided reliably by means of this guide rod (22) and pushed into the tube (10) to be drawn and pulled out of the latter after drawing without damage to the tube surface due to scratching, the floating plug (20) being moved with the drawing-out device (15). Two motor-driven transport rollers (24) which can be rotated in front of the drawing die (14) and moved relative to the guide rod (22) allow rapid and automatic movement of the drawing-out device (15). <IMAGE>
