The invention relates to a device for setting the eyepiece distance in binocular tubes and can be applied in all binocular microscopes and eyepieces. In conjunction with increased ease of operation, the aim is to achieve binocular measurement and counting by coupling the eyepiece sockets with regard to their lateral displacement and simultaneously ensuring a fixed arrangement of the beam splitter. The object is achieved when a first and a second angle lever rotatably mounted on the housing act rotatably both on the eyepiece socket and on a first and a second holding part, and there is provided on the second angle lever an additional limb which acts rotatably on a connecting piece attached to the first holding part. <IMAGE>
