The invention relates to a device for limited water discharge from a WC flushing cistern, of which the outlet, which is situated at the bottom, is closed by a valve tube which can be lifted from the outlet by a lever linkage actuable from outside the flushing cistern. A simple device which is suitable in particular for retrofitting is characterised by a connecting rod which is aligned with the valve tube and carries, at its end facing the valve tube, an abutment supported on the valve tube and which, at the other end, is guided out of the flushing cistern at the top and carries a handle there.
