The invention relates to a device for monitoring the movement paths, containing interfering objects, of the working arm of a motor-driven manipulator, in which for each intended movement path switching means are provided, which react and switch off the drive of the working arm whenever an interfering object, which the arm or/and the load could strike, is present in one of these movement paths. Corresponding switching means are preferably provided for each movement axis or direction, so that perfect monitoring or monitoring control of the working arm is possible.
