A covering device for the outlet spigot of toilet bowls of preferably connection-free toilets, having two flaps which are mounted in guides so as to be each pivotable about a flap pin, which guides for their part are arranged on the outlet branch so as to be pivotable about pins parallel to the flap pins, the pins and the guides being arranged outside the outlet cross-section.
