The arrangement contains two memories into which the identical data records to be processed and supplied to the arrangement from the outside or into which two different data records can be written. Furthermore, an adder is present, the inputs of which can be connected to the output of both or in each case one of these memories. The output of the adder is connected to an input of a multiplier, the other input of which is connected to the output of the second memory or of a third memory which, for example, contains the filter coefficients. The multiplier is followed by an accummulator which essentially generates the output signals. Control is effected by a programme memory, also provided, with subsequent decoder, the individual elements to be controlled being associated with particular fixed sections in the instruction which are decoded in parallel by the decoder. Furthermore, a loop counter which can be set by the programme is provided which controls the number of repetitions of a particular instruction. In dependence on the programme contained in the programme memory, the most varied filtering actions or correlations can be carried out, only a few programme sections being necessary due to the special instruction configuration. <IMAGE>
