<p>The motor cycle is first stripped completely and the frame is placed in a jig and fixed by its sides and oscillating points. This is done carefully, to maintain the geometry of the particular frame design. The fixing is on a large surface plate, with horizontal positioning by mechanical jacks. Deformation is then carefully checked and decisions are made as to the parts to be heated and by how much. The line of the steering column is used as the main datum line.</p> |
