For the preparation of a potassium chloride of high K2O content and extremely low sulphate content by the hot-dissolving process and covering of the separated potassium chloride with water, sulphates are stirred out and separated from the mother liquors separated from the potassium chloride before these mother liquors are heated up and recycled as dissolving liquors.
