In a heat exchanger having tube bundles around which flow occurs in the longitudinal direction, a guide casing (2) surrounds the tubes (1) on all sides. Vertical and horizontal supporting strips (3) are arranged in two planes A-A and B-B in layers between the individual tubes (1). These supporting strips are fastened neither to the tubes themselves nor to the guide casing. The ends, which project beyond the tubes (1), of the supporting strips (3) engage in a freely movable fashion in chambers (4) which are situated outside the cross-section where flow occurs on the guide casing, and contribute there to the stiffening of the casing. Such a heat exchanger is applied, in particular, in horizontal feed-water high-pressure preheaters of accumulator design. <IMAGE> |
