PURPOSE:To connect sheets to each other without using a complicated mechanism, by performing control so that the speed of the outside of a sheet as a new roll is accurately increased to that of another sheet being delivered. CONSTITUTION:A driver 4 is started according to an instruction from a starter 10-6 so that a new roll 2 begins to rotate. Only when a photoelectric tube 9 is detecting a mark 8 of prescribed length, a counter 10-1 counts the pulses of a pulse generator 6. Since the speed of the roll 2 right after its starting of rotation is very low, the counted value of the counter 10-1 at that time is not equal to the set value of a setting unit 10-3. A comparator 10-4 sends out a signal showing that the counted value at said time is not equal to the set value. A speed setting circuit 10-5 gives an accelerating instruction to the driver 4. When the revolution speed of the roll 2 is increased, the counted vaue of the counter 10-1 becomes equal to the set value of the setting unit 10-3. The speed setting circuit 10-5 then gives a constant speed instruction to the driver 4 to rotate the roll 2 at a fixed speed. At that time, the speed of the outside of the roll 2 becomes equal to that of another material 7 so that both materials can be connected to each other. |
