PURPOSE:To obtain a photoconductive member which has excellent photosensitivity, etc. by laminating the 1st amorphous layer consisting of a layer region contg. Si, Ge and a material governing conductivity and a photoconductive layer region contg. Si and the 2nd amorphous layer contg. Si and C, successively. CONSTITUTION:The 1st amorphous layer 102 consisting of the 1st layer region 103 constituted of an amorphous material contg. silicon atoms, germanium atoms and a material governing conductivity and the 2nd layer region 104 constituted of an amorphous material contg. silicon atoms and exhibiting photoconductivity is provided on a substrate 101 for a photoconductive member. The embodiments of the material governing conductivity are B, Al, Ga, etc. as a p type impurity and P, As, Sb, etc. as an n type impurity. The 2nd amorphous layer 105 constituted of an amorphous material contg. silicon atoms and carbon atoms is provided on the layer 102, whereby an intended photoconductive member 100 is obtained. |
