PURPOSE:To manufacture a bright polarizing plate of high contrast, by printing a mask pattern on a polarizing film with opaque ink. CONSTITUTION:The base plate 1 of a polarizing plate contg. a mask for a trnasmission type liq. crystal display element is formed by sticking a polarizing film 2 obtd. by stretching a PVA film having adsorbed iodine in a fixed direction to a transparent support 3 of cellulosic resin or the like. Opaque ink 4 is applied to the surface of the film 2 of the plate 1 by screen printing, and it is air-dried at ordinary temp. for 24hr. A transpaent support 5 made of the same material as the support 3 is stuck to the printed surface of the film 2 to manufacture a polarizing plate contg. a mask for a transmission type liq. crystal display device. |
