PURPOSE:To execute working whose characteristics are uniform and stable, by dividing a base plate having both of a front cover and a rear cover for pressing and fixing an optical fiber, into two base plates, and providing a connecting plate being attachable and detachable, for connecting these base plates. CONSTITUTION:The base plate of a polishing and vapor-depositing jig is divided into a front base plate 33A and a rear base plate 33B, and both of them are screw-coupled by a connecting plate 38. As for a front cover 24 and a rear cover 25, the covers same as conventional ones are used. Subsequently, an optical fiber is fixed by a full face adhesive material in a state that the front base plate 33A and the rear base plate 33B are combined. After the polish-working, only the front cover 24 is removed in a state that the rear cover 25 remains clamped, and the adhesive material is washed. In this case, the optical fiber is made to adhere to the rear base plate 33B of the polishing and vapor-depositing jig, and is pressed by the rear cover 25, therefore, the optical fiber does not move. Subsequently, the front cover 24 is clamped again, the optical fiber is fixed, and in this case, the connecting plate 38 is separated, the optical fiber is bent and broken, and a vapor-depositing work is executed in a state that the optical fiber is clamped by the front cover 24 and the front base plate 33A. |
