PURPOSE:To exactly prevent leakage of X-ray by simple lead lining, and to easily reassemble an evacuating system, by lining the inside of a pipe of a connecting flange part of a duct for connecting an electronic beam welding chamber and a vacuum evacuating device, with a limited quantity of lead having specified length. CONSTITUTION:The inside of a pipe 2 of a flange part being a joint of pipes 1, 2 of a vacuum evacuating duct is lined with lead 10. The pipe 1 has a structure fitted to the lead 10. In this case, when the length of the lead 10 and the thickness of the flange part are denoted as l2 and l1, repsectively, their relation is set as l2=4-5l1. When the quantity of the lead 10 is said extent, the influence of degassing can be disregarded, and leakage of X-rays generated secondarily can be prevented more than conventional cased. |
