Date Jan. 21, 1982.A composition comprising an intimate mixture of a polyarylene sulphide with an aryl ester of an aryl alcohol. The mixture can be a dry powder mixture, a wet powder mixture, a paste, a suspension a liquid solution or a solid solution. The preferred mixture comprises polyphenylene sulphide and benzyl benzoate. There is also described a method of curing polyphenylene sulphide comprising dissolving the polyphenylene sulphide in benzyl benzoate and heating the solution so that the benzyl benzoate evaporates and the polyphenylene sulphide cures simultaneously.
