<p>Growth promotion of animals and productive livestock comprises administering growth promoting amt. of quinoxaline-di-N-oxide carboxamide deriv. of formula (I) or its acid addition salt. In (I) R1 is H or 1-4C alkyl and R2 and R3 are each 1-4C alkyl or together with N atom form heterocyclic ring opt. substd. by 1-4C alkyl, the ring contains 4 or 5 C atoms and opt. O as further hetero atom; A is 1-4C alkylene. - (I) are used to combat pathogenic microorganisms in veterinary medicine esp. effective in case of diseases of respiratory tract in poultry and infections of intestinal tract and urogenital system in domestic animals and livestock. They are also used as growth promoting agents. Administration can be perorally, via the abomasum or by injection.
