<p>The anti-vibration mounting (1) has a lower shell (2) and an upper shell (3) connected by a flexible rubber or elastomer U-section ring (4) to form a sealed enclosure. A division plate (5) with a calibrated orifice (6) divides the enclosure into two compartments (A,B). - A second flexible membrane (9) isolates a smaller compartment (8) at the top of the enclosure. This compartment is filled with low pressure compressed air. Deformation of the mounting causes a change in volume and fluid flows through the orifice (6). The change in volume is reflected in the volume of the air-filled compartment (8).
