PURPOSE:To make it possible to record a good quality image, by a method wherein the operation order of plural unit recording elements arranged to a multi-recording head at almost right angles with respect to a main scanning direction is mutually made reverse in the forward and the backward courses of main scanning. CONSTITUTION:A time series image signal from the image input apparatus 21 of an image taking apparatus is successively supplied to a shift register 22 in synchronous relation to an ink nozzle row 28 while shifted by the clock signal of the clock generator 24 of an operation treatment apparatus 23 and read out parallelly by a nozzle number unit to be supplied to the nozzle row 28 through a head drive circuit 26 corresponding to the address signal of a head address counter 27 to be recorded. This address signal is indicated in the order of a first- a sixteenth ink nozzles in the forward course by the control of a reciprocal control circuit 25 while, in the backward course, the reverse order is indicated. Therefore, the inclination of a recording image dot row with resect to a main scanning direction is aligned in the same direction in the forward and the backward courses and the deterioration of an image such that lateral scanning stripes are made prominent is not generated. |
