PURPOSE:To obtain a seat with superior effect for keeping the predetermined patterns of wrinkles or fine grooves etc. on the seat-surface, by a method in which the outer skin composed of cloth material and thermoplastic resin-backing material is caused to be closely in contact with the surface of a vacuum forming die, and the predetermined position of said contact-materials is pushed to the die-surface in heated condition, and then foamable raw material is poured thereinto and is foamed. CONSTITUTION:The outer skin made of cloth material A is spread on the inner surface 12 of the cavity of a vacuum forming device, and the backing material B made of thermoplastic resin-sheet material is placed on said cloth material. The cloth material A and the backing material B are caused to be closely in contact with the inner surface 12 of the cavity by vacuum suction, and simultaneously by driving a push member 18, the cloth material A and the backing material B are pressed between a combination of a wrinkled surface and protruded stripes 16 and a combination of an uneven surface 19 and hollow grooves 20. Next, after the push-member 18 is retreated, the raw material such as urethane for constituting a cushion member is poured into the cavity and is foamed by heating. Thus, even though the outer skin is made of cloth material, the wrinkle pattern etc. on a seat-surface may be kept as it is. |
