Crate in thermoplastic material with corner elements - double-walled to form channels for battens inserted before welding elements together

The arrangement is intended for mfg. a rectangular crate in thermo-plastic material from a number of pre-formed (injection-moulded but pref. blow-moulded) elements. Four of these are corner elements each having three integral sides at right angles to one another, the sides being double-walled such that at least two are provided with a hollow channel section. The elements are placed against one another with the channels in alignment after which strengthening members, such as wooden battens, are placed in the respective channels and the meeting sides butt-welded together or otherwise joined. Intermediate two-sides elements with similar channels may be arranged between corner elements.
