<p>The process comprises preparing a water, monomer, polymeriser and indicator mixture, for intensive shear to disperse the monomers, simultaneous with agitation and heating until the reaction is completed. To increase efficiency, the copolymer is recovered, and purified by isolation and washing. - This technique is designed to control obesity in animals on a high-fat diet, by providing indigestible fat-absorbing and retaining but pharmacologically-acceptable material.</p> |
