PURPOSE:To allow a quick following of an opening of a control valve without a chance of hunting, by arranging such that a suction air flow regulating valve may adjust its opening amount from a result of comparision of actual opening amount with a target opening amount, the result obtained from a deviation of an acutual engine speed from a target speed. CONSTITUTION:An engine has a by-pass valve 20 provided in a by-pass 18 detouring a throttle valve 10 provided in a suction air passage 8, the by-pass valve 20 being controlled its opening and closing by a pressure responsive moving means 22 and adapted to control a suction air flow. The pressure responsive moving means 22 are energized by a negative pressure signal controlled by solenoid valves 32 and 34 which are in turn controlled by a computer 40. The computer 40 in this case predetermines a target opening amount of the valve 20 depending on a deviation of actual engine speed from a target speed, the actual engine speed being obtained from an output of an ignition device 44. A comparison result of the target engine speed with an actual engine speed, as obtained from an output of a position sensor 38, is utilized in controlling these valves 32 and 34. |
