PURPOSE:To compute the flow amount of air correctly and effect a highly accurate air/fuel ratio control by a method wherein the amount of displacement of a valve for changing a suction path opening area, which is detected by a displacement meter, is changed propotionally to the opening area. CONSTITUTION:When an accelerating pedal is treated, a gear 15 is rotated through a shaft 14 and the valve body 4 is moved upwardly through a rack gear 16. In this case, the opening area of the suction path, which is determined by the valve body 4 and a valve seat 9, is changed proportionally to the amount of displacement of the valve body 4 and the flow amount of air is changed proportionally to the opening area. Then, the output of the displacement meter 5, such as a potentiometer or the like attached to one end of the shaft 14, is inputted into an electric device 6 together with the output of a pressure meter 3, detecting the vacuum of a suction pipe, and a fuel supplying amount, computed based on the output of the pressure meter 3, is corrected besed on the value of flow amount of air, obtained by the output of the displacement meter 5. A fuel supplying valve 7 is controlled by the output of the electric device 6. |
