PURPOSE:To reduct the thickness and weight of the pump and contribe the cost- down thereof by a method wherein a vane pump housing is divided into a tubular housing and a bearing housing, both of them are made of a metallic plate and are formed by press separately, and both housings are coupled integrally by welding or the like. CONSTITUTION:The tubular housing 1 is formed by pressing the metallic plate and a pump assembly, such as side plates 8, 12, a cam ring 9, a rotor 10 equipped with the vanes 11 or the like, is accommodated therein. The bearing housing 5 is also formed by pressing the metallic plate, like as the tubular housing 1, and both housings are integrated by welding or the like. The bearing housing 5 supports the rotating shaft 16 of the rotor 10. The suction port 4 of the tubular housing 1 is connected with a suction pipe 20 through a socket member 18. |
