PURPOSE:To facilitate machining of roller engaging grooves in a uniform velocity joint, by a method wherein the roller engaging grooves, extending along axial direction, are formed at spaces in a peripheral direction in an outer peripheral surface of each of ends positioned facing and opposite to each other. CONSTITUTION:Ends 1a and 5a of a driving shaft 1 and a driven shaft 5 are symmetrically constituted centering around a ball bearing 6, and outer peripheral surfaces 1c and 5c are formed in the shape of a taper inclining toward the ball bearing 6. An even-numbered streak of roller engaging grooves 8 and 9 are formed at distances in a peripheral direction in the outer peripheral surfaces 1c and 5c, respectively, and extend in the axial direction. A roller 10, held by a junk ring 11, is fitted in a space between the roller engaging grooves 8 and 9, and is positioned so that it can freely slide in the axial direction. |
