摘要 PURPOSE:To constitute so that charge does not escape even if a toner charging quantity is raised, by electrostatically flocking an electrically conductive fiber on a developing sleeve. CONSTITUTION:An electrode 6 for charging the charge to an electrically conductive fiber 4 and a hopper 8 for supplying a developing magnetic toner 7 to a developing sleeve 3 are provided opposingly on the developing sleeve 3. As for the developing magnetic toner 7, an insulating toner of 10<16>-10<17>OMEGAcm is used, also, as for the electrode 6 for charging the charge, an aluminum cylinder whose diameter is 10mm. is used, its surface is coated with fluorine resin to thickness of about 20mu in order to prevent abnormal discharge, and a DC voltage power source 9 of about 6KV is connected. The conductive fiber 4 flocked in the developing sleeve 3 is flocked by density of 50 pieces/inch<2>, and also its length is made equal to 20mm.. As for a magnet 2, a 4-pole symmetrical magnet is used, and that which has a diameter of 28mm. is used. As a result of executing the developing operation by such a constitution, a high charging quantity of 12muc/ g can be obtained when voltage of the electrode 6 for charging the charge is 5.8KV.
