PURPOSE:To store only necessary information and to utilize a storage area effectively, by opening a picture fetch gate when there are a specific number of white bits present during one scan, and writing a picture at the circumference of the front edge of a form in a picture memory. CONSTITUTION:When a scanner 11 makes a one-bit scan on a form by every clock of a clock generator 12, the output of the scanner 11 is sent to the writing circuit 16 of a picture memory and written in the picture memory 17 under the control of a gate signal from a counter 14. Namely, the counter 14 does not operate for the starting black ground and the writing circuit 16 inhibits writing to the picture memory 17. Once the front edge of the form is detected, the counter 14 starts counting to invert the gate signal when attaining to the specific number of bits, and the writing circuit 16 operates to send the output of the scanner 11 directly to the writing circuit 16 thereafter. At the same time, the output of a gate circuit is inverted to a low level to turn off a gate circuit 13 and the counter 14. |
