PURPOSE:To prevent the fluctuation in the level of paint liquid by the foam overflowing from the bottom of a cylinder and to obtain a uniform paint film with high accuracy in a method used for dip coating of the outside of a cylindrical member having a closed top end, by controlling the internal pressure with an internal pressure evacuation valve provided with a sensor for the internal pressure of the cylinder. CONSTITUTION:The internal pressure of a cylinder 3 of, for example, 100mm.phi diameter and 100mm. length having a closed top end is detected with a pressure sensor switch 4 provided to one of the branches of a capillary 6 at the point of the time when said cylinder is dipped down to 280mm. in paint 2. A solenoid valve 5 is then opend to evacuate the gas in the cylinder 3' to a prescribed amt. and the valve 5 is closed at the point of the time when the internal pressure attains 270mm.H2O. The outside surface of the cylinder 3 is painted in this state. |
