摘要 PURPOSE:To discharge electric charges rapidly by applying a damped alternate voltage generated by an external power supply across the anode terminal of a CRT and the outer conducting film, an outside member such as explosion-proof band, and/or predetermined electrodes constituting an electron gun of the CRT. CONSTITUTION:An electron gun 14 is fitted in the neck 13 of a CRT, an inner conducting film 15 is formed on the inner surface of the neck 13 and a funnel 12, an outer conducting film 16 is formed on the outer surface of them, an anode terminal 17 is connected to the inner conducting film 15, an explosion-proof band 18 is provided around a panel 11, and support metals are provided at desired positions of the explosion-proof band 18. The anode terminal 17 of the CRT is connected to one terminal 321 of the secondary winding 32 of a transformer 31, and the outer conducting film 16, explosion-proof band 18, and socket 10 are connected together then they are connected to the other terminal 322 of the secondary winding 32. A resistor 36, the impedance of which is gradually increased after a switch 35 is turned on, is provided on the primary winding 33 of the transformer 31, thereby the voltage waveform across the secondary winding 32 is a damped alternating voltage damping gradually from the initial waveform.
