Arc plasma gun for the plasma treatment of workpieces, esp. for the deposition of antifriction, anticorrosive and wear resistant coatings on workpiece surfaces, is equipped with a central consumable cathode, a cylindrical anode, and a tubular plasma guide on the anode flange. A coaxial electromagnet with a nonmagnetic shell is arranged inside the guide and faces the cathode. A focusing solenoid around the plasma guide is connected in opposition to the electromagnet winding. - The spatial sepn. of the plasma beam components in a magnetic field eliminates the impingement of macroparticles on the workpiece surface.(0/3)
