PURPOSE:To sharply improve the magnetic ridigity only by a permanent magnet that serves as the supply source of a magnetic flux for achieving a magnetic support force by providing a magnetic force supply system inside and outside a rotor and magnetically support the rotor using the inner and outer surface of the rotor. CONSTITUTION:When a rotor 11 is moved by an external force to the direction of an external force and also in the direction making a right angle with an axial line, the magnetic gap length between the respective rings 17a, 17b, 17c and 17d mounted on the rotor 11 and the so-called magnetic force supply system located inside and outside is varied and both longer and shorter sections than the magnetic gap length in an equilibrium state are formed. When such a change appears, a rotor stabilization control unit 61 supplies coils 30 and 45 located at the section where the magnetic gap length is increased, with a current having its flow direction to increase the magnetic flux and supplies the coils 30 and 45 located at the section where the magnetic gap length is decreased, with a current having its flow direction to decrease the magnetic flux, based on the output of a displacement detector 53. |
