A moving machine part (1) has a guide shoulder (2) which is provided with a rectangular slot (3) which extends in the longitudinal direction of the guideway. In the slot (3) there is a tube (4), made, for example, of metal or plastic, the space (8) above the tube (4) being filled with a filling material (6). Formed in the latter are holes (14) which extend as far as the tube (4), penetrate its wall (5) and are screwed into the nozzle bodies (11). This gives an aerostatic guideway for moving machine parts which, as regards the arrangement and design of the nozzle bodies, can be adapted to the respective conditions. <IMAGE>
