FIELD: enhanced recovery methods for obtaining hydrocarbons, hydrogen and other products from different formations containing hydrocarbons, particularly with the use of heat, namely intraformation treatment monitoring and/or control, for example seismic monitoring to detect fissure creation and propagation during intraformation heating. ^ SUBSTANCE: method to control intraformation heating system of hydrogen containing formation with the use of heaters involves monitoring of at least one acoustic effect inside formation with the use of acoustic detector; analyzing at least one acoustic effect to determine at least one formation property, wherein the property is direction of at least one damaged formation rock area, said damaged formation rock location and/or length thereof; controlling intraformation system on the base of said analysis to prevent damaged area propagation into undesirable formation zone. ^ EFFECT: increased efficiency of hydrocarbon production and improved monitoring self-descriptiveness. ^ 13 cl, 23 dwg |
