PURPOSE:To restrain change-over shock in a means which relatively turns cam shaft side and crankshaft side sleeves by means of a slider to change over a valve timing by making change-over control of a motor according to a revolution number of the motor for shifting the slider. CONSTITUTION:When revolution of an output shaft 22 driven by a motor 21 is converted into linear motion of a driving sleeve 23 through means of a screwed part 22A, a slider 17 is reciprocated laterally and the motion is transmitted via a shaft 15 to bearings 15 and 16 which are engaged in slits 13 and 14 on sleeves 6 and 10 intermateably formed. Phases of a cam shaft B and a crankshaft which are connected for interlocking with a timing gear C are thereby varied to change a valve timing into two conditions. The output shaft 22 of the motor 21 is provided with a pulse generator, not illustrated, which generates a pulse signal according to the revolution number of the output shaft. The change-over control of the motor 21 may be performed according to the output pulse signal. |
