A method and a system for providing a video phone notification service are provided to enable a calling video terminal, which has made a voice call to a called terminal, to reattempt a video call by delivering a voice phone notification message to the calling terminal in case that the caller terminal is also able to execute video telephony. In case a calling terminal(100) makes a voice call to a called terminal(150), a video phone notification system(300) confirms whether the calling and called terminals(100,150) are video terminals and whether the calling and called terminals(100,150) are affiliated with a video phone notification service. If so, the video phone notification system(300) transmits a video phone notification message to the calling terminal(100) in order to inform the calling terminal(100) that it is possible to execute video telephony with the called terminal(150). Receiving the video phone notification message, the calling terminal(100) makes a video call to the called terminal(150). |
